Ibiza Airport (Aeroport d’Eivissa Sant Josep in Catalan, Aeropuerto de Ibiza San José in Spanish) is a Balearic Islands airport located 7 kilometers from Ibiza in the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia.
The airport, which opened to civil traffic in 1949 and has been designated as “international” since 1966, is distinguished by a high concentration of traffic during the tourist season, with 85 percent of total flights happening during the six months of high season (May-October).
